Campaign Description

Make Poverty History is part of a global call to action against poverty. We were asked to bring attention to the critical issues of poverty from a Canadian perspective. Specifically the government’s promise to give 0.7% of our economy to help eradicate it altogether. Users were asked to connect the dots to see what would happen if we actually gave the 0.7% we promised. However, the crayon gets stuck at 0.3% to illustrate the fact that we have yet to get even halfway. When asked to erase poverty, the user is unable to erase more than half of the word. The message is simple, if the government took action, we would take a huge step towards erasing poverty, feeding a child, providing health care, and giving someone a home.
